This Month's Favorites
Favorite Purchase
My Adidas Superstar sneakers. I wear them all the time and they're so chic + comfy!
Favorite Outfit Post
I chose this faux fur coat because it was a bit dressier for me, and I loved glamming things up on here.
New Favorite Watch
Thanks to Amorstil for sending this all-black watch to me because I love it and how minimal it is!
Favorite Beauty Finds
I always look forward to sharing my beauty finds each month, and this month I had some serious winners!
- MAC Conceal & Correct Duo - a color corrector for your under eyes that also highlights really nicely. I blot it in with this concealer brush, and mine is the pale pink/pale yellow combo. It really helps to color correct my purple/blue dark circles!
- MAC Pro Longwear Concealer - probably the best under-eye concealer I've tried so far! I apply it in little dots in a triangle under my eye (extending toward my nose), down the bridge of my nose, at my cupid's bow, point of my chin, on my forehead just above my eyebrows, and right under my eyebrows to highlight my arch - then blend it all in with this damp beauty blender! I find that it lasts well all day, blends nicely, and serves as a nice little highlight before my setting powder and contouring. I kind of follow this highlighting/concealer model with a little more under the eye.
- Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye - I got this as a free gift when I purchased a new bottle of my all-time favorite foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I am now so hooked on this eye cream! The texture is fantastic (kind of a whipped gel rather than a cream), a little goes a long way, and I truly feel it makes a difference in keeping the delicate skin around my eyes nice and moisturized.
- MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft & Gentle' - a beautiful powder highlight that makes for the prettiest glow. I've wanted a powder highlighter for awhile, just to add some extra glow to my matte contour bronzer and matte winter blush, and this one really is lovely. I would be it will last me at least two years too.
Highlights of the Month
I honestly had so many highlights amid this hectic and exhausting month!
- Trey and I spent most of this past weekend in Oklahoma City to go to the Thunder / Warriors game and just explore the city (first two photos)! It was so much fun to check out a new city together, eat and drink our way through the city (need to detox this week ;), and go to a freaking ah-mazing basketball game. If you're ever in OKC, check out Empire Slice House for unique pizza by the slice, Oak & Oar for the gorgeous decor and extensive draft beer selection, and rePUBlic for food and drinks (the nachos & the cinnamon sugar donuts were phenomenal).
- My best friend's bridal shower was yesterday and it was so much fun to see her and some good friends from college! I can't wait to celebrate her bachelorette weekend in March and her wedding in April!
- Trey and I also went out of town for Valentine's Day and had an amazing stay at the Hotel Vandivort in Springfield, MO. It was gorgeous! And they're famous for their selfie mirrors - so fun!
Thanks for reading! Any topics you would like to see on future favorites posts? Sorry I don't have any fun links or music this month - it's been too crazy around here! ;)
