At-Home Spa Day
Two of my main goals for this year are to pamper my skin more and to reduce my stress and anxiety. One step I'm taking to meet these goals is to set aside a little bit of time each week to treat myself to a relaxing mini spa experience at home. Not only is it healthy for your skin, but it's also healthy to have a little "me" time, am I right??
SO, I thought I would share a few products that I love for pampering my skin and having an at-home spa day!
I have several face masks (I shared my favorites in this post), but my most used is the exfoliating treatment mask by Tula. I swear it tightens your pores and evens out the skin! You can use code 'shop20' for 20% off and free shipping sitewide at Tula.
I recently purchased this ice roller and not only does it feel so incredibly soothing, but it also helps to reduce puffiness and redness! I first read about ice rollers in this Skinny Confidential post and now that I have one I'm hooked!
I also love to use eye masks. Most of them are pretty expensive, but I read good reviews on these and they're crazy affordable. While I'm sure they're not top of the line, they do help to sooth and brighten my delicate under-eye area and feel so nice and moisturizing.
Ama.la is a new-to-me organic plant-based skincare brand that I'm absolutely loving. They sent me these products to try and I've used them every single day since because my skin has been so soft! They're lightweight, moisturizing, and perfect for sensitive skin. I have the purifying gel moisturizer and the hydrating eye treatment and have been using them every morning.
I've also been drinking liquid chlorophyll (not to be confused with chloroform 😹) and my skin has been really clear lately so I'm keeping with it! It's said to help detox the body, reduce inflammation, and help with acne (among many other things). I add about a teaspoon of this one to 8-10oz. of water, but I purchase it at my local health food store as it's cheaper there.

Hopefully this gave you a little bit of inspiration to pamper yourself this weekend! I'm already noticing a big difference in my skin since adding more hydrating and anti-aging products into the mix, rather than just acne-fighting products. I got a facial and laser treatment (that preventatively targets dark spots and wrinkling under the surface) last weekend and my skin is glowing like never before, so I think I need to schedule one of those more often! I'm also planning to do a microdermabrasion treatment later this spring and I'll be sure to share my experience with you!
